Background (Preamble):
This is apetition to the European Union to pass a regulation forcing food manufaturers to label all products as suitable, or unsuitable for vegetarians.
Anyone who is a vegetarian will have at some point struggled to decipher a food product's list of ingredients in order to decide whether, or not, they can eat it.
This task should be made much easier by the addition a simple label stating if the product is suitable, or not, for vegetarians. There is no legitimate reason why this could not be done, so why is it not done?
