No to Queen's Cross Housing Association Rent Hike

Queens Cross Housing Association (QCHA) are trying to increase our rent by over 9% in 2 years! Their repair service is shoddy and there's been no improvements in the flats since they took them over from GHA 2 years ago. Dampness is rife throughout the properties.

Last year they bumped our rent up by 4.5% and now they are planning to increase our rent by 4.6%. This is way over inflation and most of us are already struggling to pay our rent. If this goes through our rent will have increased by 9.1% a month in under 2 years! We can't afford this. The flats are already expensive and we have high electricity bills because of the storage heaters and drafty windows, and the lifts still break down all the time. Wages and benefits are staying the same or going down and food costs are going up.

QCHA keep promising us improvements, but the only thing I've seen them get better at is asking me for money!
