The Port Adelaide/Enfield Council are proposing a bylaw which will require participants in the following activities to have a permit:

putting up posters
picking flowers
playing ball games
and others

This is a blatant disregard for basic civil rights, especially with regard to privacy. It is completely unAustralian to ask people to have permission to play an Australian sport such as beach cricket or risk a $750 fine.

We, the undersigned, call on the Port Adelaide/Enfield Council to cancel the proposed bylaw requiring a permit for activities including but not limited to putting up posters, picking flowers and playing ball games in council-controlled areas.
