This petition is to make Senior Management in our company aware that decisions have been made that adversely affect specific employees with little or no consultation. This is a further compensation cut to a specific employee group.
We, the Language of Destination (L.O.D.) qualified flight attendants respectfully request that the decision to eliminate an L.O.D. bid position from the bid sheet be reversed. This decision was not just sudden but was made with little or no notice to our group. We were not consulted in this decision even though it drastically affects our work life. The net result of this decision for many of us is a drop in compensation of approximately $2,000. This is in addition to the pay cut we underwent January 1 and the reduction in our per diem.
This decision lacks consideration of our customers, our skills and the inherent implications to our lives. It has destroyed our morale and leaves us with the feeling of outsiders on a team.
