Region: Sri Lanka
Target: CNN - Cable News Network
Background (Preamble):
We, the undersigned, urge the Cable News Network (CNN) to name the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as a Terrorists group, when publishing news articles in future. Currently (to date) the CNN have been using "Tamil Rebels", "Tamil Tiger guerillas" and "Tamil Separatists" to identify L.T.T.E in news articles.

But when New York and Washington was attacked, within few minutes the CNN newsroom declared it as a Terrorist attack, which was shown all over the world.

With the banning of the LTTE from the UK under the provisions of the Terrorism Act of 2000, people have started to identify LTTE as a Terrorist group.

The L.T.T.E has been campaigning its terrorist activities for the past 18 years in Sri Lanka carrying out dozens of suicide bombings against security forces, business establishments, military personnel and politicians.

We ask from CNN reporters why they can't recognize L.T.T.E as a Terrorist group that has caused more 60,000 innocent lives.
Petition:
Dear Sri Lankans, as we all know L.T.T.E has been declared as a major terrorist group. But the CNN network has failed to identify the L.T.T.E as a terrorist group. Please sign this petition asking the Cable News Network (CNN) to name the L.T.T.E as a terrorist group in future news articles.

Please pass this petition onto as many friends of our motherland as possible. This is the time for us to reveal to the world that we all Sri Lankans call to ban and eliminate L.T.T.E from Sri Lanka and bring peace to this country.
