The Space Shuttle (Space Transportation System) is one of the most versatile spacecraft ever designed. We have had only two accidents out of hundreds of successful flights.
Changing from the current Space Shuttle to an Apollo-style spacecraft is a step in the wrong direction.
It is in the belief of the undersigned that the Space Shuttles (Space Transportation System) should be kept flying past their scheduled 2010 retirement date.
Far more funding should be allocated to NASA. New Space Shuttles should be fabricated, or a new, more modernized version of the current STS Design should be created.
We believe that a step towards an Apollo-style spacecraft is a step in the wrong direction.
