Petition to Keep the Bell Centre Songs in English |
8 Signatures |
Published by Steven on May 07, 2008
Category: Sports
Region: Canada
Target: Government of Quebec and Club de Hockey Canadien
Description/History:
The Canadiens have been around for almost 100 years. They have never in (recent) history played many French songs. Its understandable if they played French music in the past, with the mostly francophone players, back in the day.
Today 90+% of the roster are Anglophones and Europeans, which barely speak French. The music played can also tend to get the players "pumped" to get out an play, so if they don't understand any of it, what's the point? Until now, the music language has never been an issue, so let's keep it this way!

Petition:
Let's keep things the way they've almost always been, and keep the music English. Why change it, especially towards/during the Centennial year?
If you feel that the music should stay fully English, please sign.
