Let’s get justice for Weston Spratling!

On February 9th Weston Spratling a well-liked young man's life was ended less than three weeks before his 25th birthday. The saddest part of the matter is that he was killed horrifically when he was intentionally run over by another man after the two of them argued. We have all at some point argued, but isn’t the right thing to do is to agree to disagree and walk away!!

On February 9th 2008 it is alleged that Derron Keenan Williams took Weston’s life by running him over. Now Weston will never get to enjoy the simple pleasure of life or get to do the many things may of us take for granted such as getting married and starting a family.

Weston’s loved ones are left here to suffer, the pain of losing him suddenly and senselessly.

Some of you may have heard about this case on the news.

The U.S. Marshall apprehended Derron Williams after the ship he had boarded to leave the U.S. to the Bahamas was ordered to stop by the U.S. Coast guard. Williams knew he was wanted for murder and aggravated assault charges BUT still attempted to leave the county. He claims that he was not fleeing prosecution but had planned the trip before Weston’s murder. Additionally, he claims that he accidentally ran over Weston.

Thanks to the work of the Atlanta Police Department, the United States Marshall (particularly James Ergas) and the United States Coast Guard. Had the Coast Guard not ordered the ship stopped when they did Williams could have made it to international waters and then not only would there have been the battle to have Williams extradited back to the US.

However, on Friday March 7th Williams sat in the courtroom of Fulton County Judge Sylvia McCoy where he was arraigned and Judge McCoy denied bond. His attorney is trying to have charges dropped!
