Rural internet needs to be brought out to all of Lockport /St clements / Selkirk /St Andrews areas in some parts it is available but 80 percent of us homeowners are still without major internet providers or access to an Internet provider via fibre optics.
satellite is just not cutting it and is to pricey for most of us rural customers with todays technologies there is no reason why we should be without it. if other remote northern communities are going to start receiving Internet.. we should also be on board for the expansion.
We are within 30 minutes of the city of Winnipeg and still deprived of this necessary infrastructure. If you agree sign the petition and with enough signatures collected I will pass on to the appropriate departments within government and said corporation's.

We the undersigned demand that all government departments involved with telecommunication be it municipal, provincial or federal and certain shareholders of major internet companies such as Bell ,Shaw internet expand into rural manitoba in area's such as TRI S region which includes the RMs of Lockport, Selkirk, St,Clements and St Andrews and to be on board with the federal government bill and policy as quoted below from CRTC Web page.

"It is important that Canadians can connect to quality Internet services at affordable prices."

The current government is investing $84 million dollars to provide highspeed Internet to over 100 remote communities with not one mention of the communities that I have listed and they are within 30 minutes of the city of Winnipeg.
We in the RMs listed above are still waiting to be part of this group of Canadians..... Mr Pallister ....we too would also like the ability to do business online. Please help us in doing so by adding us to the list of 1oo remote communities.
