On Monday October 26, 2009 Amber Willbur was arrested and faces a felony charge of disturbing school for lighting a small Black Cat firecracker outside the school in a smoking section.
Amber may be the first person ever in the Midlands to face criminal charges for lighting a firecracker, according to numerous law enforcement sources.
There was no clear threat to campus safety due to this incident, therefore the situation should be handled administratively.
We, the undersigned, call on Columbia College Police Chief Howard Cook to drop all criminal charges against Amber Willbur.
