Background (Preamble):
The civil and church records for County Clare have been transcribed by a back to work scheme funded by the Irish Government and paid by by the tax payers of Ireland me being one of them.
I can't access the records and nor can thousands of people trying to put together their family history worldwide. The records are held in the Clare Heritage Centre Corofin and a researcher has to be paid to look at the records for you.
The records do not belong to the Clare Heritage Centre they belong to us the relatives of the people in the records. We want the records released to IFHF or Clare Library so that they are available for all to search.
