Incidents of students almost being struck by motorists while they are in the crosswalk and the fatality of a crossing guard at Carrithers Middle School on Billtown Road. The pedestrian crosswalk needs to be improved.
Some suggestions are: yellow caution light that is always on, more street lights to make this area more lit in the early mornings, and bright paint to mark the crosswalk.
We, the undersigned, call on the city Jeffersontown to improve the school crosswalk at Carrithers Middle School on Billtown Road. This area needs to be safer for students, crossing guards and the community as a whole.
