Sym-Bionic Titan premiered in 2010 with an initial order of 20 episodes. It has attracted fans of all ages but has not yet been renewed for another season.
Genndy Tartakovsky and the other geniuses behind the show have been nominated for and have won Annie and Emmy awards for “Samurai Jack” and “Star Wars: Clone Wars.” Sym-Bionic Titan itself has received two 2010 Annie Award nominations. Stephan DeStefano was nominated for Character Design in a Television Production, and Scott Wills was nominated for Production Design in a Television Production.
Various online communities have been formed to support and discuss Sym-Bionic Titan. The largest Facebook group had over 1,100 members at press time. Fans have created various YouTube videos, and deviantART has a Sym-Bionic Titan fan art page with over 100 members. Each week fans discuss the new episode on various forums, including the Internet Movie Data Base page for the show. A writer for Wired.com deemed the show “worthy of a franchise.”
The fans have enjoyed the show so far and see great potential in its future. Cartoon Network should keep this show on the air for many more seasons.
