People from all walks of life: patients and clients of doctors, therapists and counsellors; adopting and fostering parents; grandparents seeking to adopt grandchildren and children seeking a normal stable home life; parents and children seeking an education free of oppressive state interference, secular ideology and inappropriate sexualisation; patrons of bed and breakfast establishments ; men and women seeking to be married in a Christian church and those seeking uncontaminated blood transfusions, all should be free to choose services with which they feel comfortable, that are safe and respecting of their moral values of whatever faith or none.
Likewise we should be free to reject services with which we feel uncomfortable, or that we deem to be offensive to our moral values or a threat to the emotional and physical health of our children.
We believe that ideologically driven laws, such as the Sexual Orientation Regulations, that are “breaking the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net,” deny us the human right to choose to live, quietly without fear or anxiety, or according to our God -given consciences. They are a declaration of war against the British people, our religious heritage, marriage, the family, our sense of history; language, justice system, but, above all, against our children. The SORs, inevitably, are leading us, as a nation, towards even more anxiety,insecurity, demoralisation, instability, fragmentation, injustice and break down in social cohesion.
We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to remove or amend the Sexual Orientation Regulations (SORs, enacted 2007) that Outlaw Discrimination in the Provision of Goods and Services on the Grounds of Sexual Orientation (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans sexual etc etc.)
These violate our human right to choose goods and services supportive of traditional family life where there is a father and mother, husband and wife at its centre and simultaneously refuse us the right to reject goods and services that force us and our children to conform to gay and secular ideology, or be in an environment that condones or promotes it.
