The teachers of Clover Park High School was asked to vote on whether or not they should keep their advisory class. This was because some of the teachers felt that having this class was not apart of their contract as a teacher and there for having to prepare for a class that they were not being paid for.

The teachers voted (and in order to keep advisory, they must have a majority vote of 80%) and the end results was that there was 76.8% of the teachers that wanted to keep advisory. We as students are very much affected by this because we will no longer have the hands on time to work on the things we need in order to graduate.

Students will then be forced to find time not only in their schedule but the teachers as well. This will be forcing students under more pressure and having more work than necessary to work with. Taking out advisory will leave many students to struggle and fail, causing the drop out rate to increase in stead of dropping. As students, we fell that we have a right, have a voice, on rather advisory should be kept or lefted out of our academics because this will affect us in our future to being successful in life.

We are willing to have a different way of running advisory. In fact, we would like to ask that we bring our work that we need help with to you, the staff (teachers). Hopefully our advisory teacher.
