I am the god-mother to three beautiful children. A 4 year-old boy, and twin 10-year old girls. They have been sexually, mentally, and physically abused by their father. A person who above all they should be able to trust, instead he tramautized them.

The abuse suffered by the 4 year-old is so severe that he has retreated insided his own mind and has created a "man" that he talks to. Often times the "man" tells him to cause harm to himself or others. The agencies he seeks help from only want to prescribe drugs to "keep him under control". The twin girls are devastated by the abuse they endured. It went on for a lenght of time and only when their parents seperated on March 3rd of this year did they feel safe enough to make an outcry. They live in fear and have nightmares everyday. But their Father, feels he has done nothing wrong and he is free to roam about society and as a repeat offender he is allowed to enjoy going to clubs, and socializing and livingt it up.

He was the childrens and their disabled mothers sole source of income. He has left them broken and without means to help themselves. He doesn't care.

We the undersigned endorse the following petition:

We the undersigned call on lawmakers in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to pass a comprehensive Federal Law that will protect children who have either been sexually, physically, or mentally abused.

We ask for more restrictive measures to be placed on any agency whose job it is to protect children. We ask that children be given a strong voice and are noticed by these agencies for the trauma they have been exposed to. We ask that stricter punishments be put in place for abusers. We ask that a child’s best interest and safety take priority over parental rights. We ask that services such as counseling be immediately provided to any child who is a victim of abuse regardless of the ability to pay. We ask that the abuser be restricted from access to the child and/or children to whom he/she has abused during the course of the investigation and that if they violate the restricted access then they should be immediately incarcerated without the opportunity for bail until their trial.

The following MANDATORY SENTENCES should be imposed on anyone who is found guilty of abusing a child:

Minimum 25 year sentence in prison with no chance of parole.

25 years to life sentence with no chance of parole for injury to a child that results in the death of a child.

Prisoners incarcerated for the abuse of a child should be denied recreation of any kind while in prison.

Prisoners should be required to work 8-10 hour shifts of hard labor and earning an hourly rate of no less than $10.00 per hour for such work and those payments should be sent directly to the victims as restitution for the crime committed against them. A victim should not have to wait until a criminal leaves prison to get the restitution they deserve.

Anyone convicted of abuse of child regardless of the degree of the act should be required upon release from prison to register locally, state wide, and on the national level. When an abuser has been found guilty for abuse they are then forced to register for life, and are never able to be left alone with a child under the age of 18 years.

A child abuser that has been found guilty must not reside within 500 feet of a park, daycare facility, school, or any functions involving children, and at no time should they go to these places for visiting purposes.

The abuser that is found guilty should receive mental evaluations as well as a weekly counseling appointment that MUST be kept for the duration of their life span. The abusers should also have to provide detailed journals documenting not only there whereabouts, but also their activities during the previous week.

The term Abuser shall include and not limited to the following: a person whom has caused physical, sexual, mental harm, to one or more children under there care and under the age of 18years. Abuser shall also constitute, neglect or subjecting the child to drug or alcohol use.
