Prayer in schools = illegal

Seperation of church and state. If you want your kids to pray, send them to catholic school. MANY kids don't believe in the christian religion or ANY religion. Like Obama said, America is NOT a christian nation, nor will it EVER be. "COEXIST"

I don't think prayers should be said in our schools - they should be places of education, not indoctrination! Prayers should be taught at home, along with how we should treat each other with respect for different beliefs!

Children trust teachers who tell them that 1+1 = 2 We cannot have that trust abused by the same teachers telling them that Jesus was born of a virgin, rose from the dead and they will burn in hell for their sins. Keep religion out of schools!

The Dec of Independ statess unalienable rights from which we were endowed with by our Creator...pray tell Who might THAT be? Another section talks about the Supreme Judge of the WORLD. Who might that be? We have the right to LIFE..(abortion?) Liberty (Freedom includes Speech) and the pursuit of happiness. The majority in the U.S are Christian. OUR happiness is prayer back in school. I grew up with "Under God and In God We Trust". WE the people should abolish present govmnt for tyranny!

Teaching religion in schools strips the child of the God given right to find their spiritual path through experience and connection to our creation. God found us and we found God, long before mankind created the many doctrines that make up all religions.
Having faith in God is to have faith that you will find each other one day regardless of religion or words on paper. Dont take away the free will given to us and our children by the divine.

Indoctrinating children into religion is akin to child abuse. Keep prayer out of schools. Man had morality long before he invented religion.

Seperation Of Church & State!!!!!!!!!!! If your children want to pray in school then let them, but to force it upon other children WHO ARE NOT Believers of Jesus Christ - that's a neo-nazi mentality!

Seperation of Church and School! There are children who do not believe in God/Jesus Christ and to force that upon them is not right. Prayers should be kept out of school. If you want your children learning about religion and doing prayers send them to religion classes.

Keep Religion Out Of School!

I believe that prayer should be allowed in schools. This nation is where it is today because of the prayers and spiritual guidance of the founding fathers. If there are children who are opposed to prayer, then they can be given the right to keep quiet (respectfully) while the others pray, however I do believe prayer is IMPORTANT. We have a creator, we did not appear out of the blue, and we should be allowed to give Him honor and praise whereever we are.
