Eckington Traffic Study Comments

I have been here for 10 years. It has always been an abundant amount of traffic on this street. The numerous trucks marked with DDOT number and the Ft. Myer Construction plaint traffic; plus the very speedy UPS and FEDX trucks, and more recently speedy Metro buses as well. No speed bumps, which the city (DDOT) says' R street in the main artery that dumps into North Capitol. The area is zoned industrial and residential. Which leave the resident on my immediate block in a non win situation? Noise; no compliance of monitored loaded trucks and tonnage (stress weight for the streets); speed; safety, and the destruction of the structural integrity of our home’s foundations, and walls.
