I didn't see any justice being served here, do you guys agree? I not here to say the girl lied and the case should be overuled, I am just here to say the facts:

1) There are doubts regarding the geographic of the crime scene, but the benefit never go to the defendent.

2) The creditibility of the plantiff was questioned from past histories. And I wonder why the benefit from the doubt still don't go to the defendent.

3) IF what the girl saying is really the truth, where are the others? Child Molestors - having similiar M.O. with serial rapiest, would choose his / her victim based on certain traits (i.e. Age, height, weight, race, etc). I am more than certain some of Boping's student will have the same or similiar traits as the defendent (do not forget that he has more than 1 student). IF that really is the case, where are the other victims? Anyone who study law or watched Law and Order will understand that it is EXTREMELY HARD to convict someone solely based on ONE and ONLY ONE testimony - and is from the plantiff who clearly has creditibility problem.

So.... given 3 facts so far, what do you guys think? Feel free to give me replies, but please... no flamming war here. I'll take any friendly comments and exchange opinions

I totally agree with you. I was just sharing this with my friend how this accusation is based on 1 testimony.

It is almost like I can accuse someone for stealing stuff from my house. Even if he has friends and families saying that he does not have the character or likelyhood of stealing, he is still considered guilty before our "justice" system.

This is way too scary beyond comprehension.

It was announced yesterday that, after the court agreed to a retrial on account of Chen's attorney failing to present certain evidence, the charges are to be dropped (and his official record wiped clean) when the girl's family refused to testify again in court.

I think it's ridiculous, still, because Chen still lost a chunk of his life, the chance to see his daughter grow into an adult, and not to mention four years of livelihood (at the very least) and falling into serious debt.

I heard that the jury consisted of all Caucasians. I question whether the jury was truly being impartial in hearing this case. Was there any doubt cast that she could have just been "acting" or perhaps she was crying out of fear or the heavy burden of "lying"? If Boping Chen truly molested, why only HER. Obviously he had many female students. Mr. Chen deserves another trial. In debt and scarred for his life in America. Surely America has another, BETTER face to show for this innocent man.
